TPD4S014DSQR Description
The TPD4S014DSQR is an ESD Protection Device for USB charger port protection including all lines and overvoltage protection on VBUS. It provides transient voltage suppressor (TVS) electrostatic discharge (ESD) clamps with low capacitance for the D+ and D- pins, as well as standard capacitance for the ID pin. Overvoltage protection (OVP) is provided up to 28VDC. The overvoltage lockout function guarantees that if a fault condition occurs on the VBUS line, the VBUS line is isolated to safeguard the internal circuitry from harm. After VBUS climbs beyond the under-voltage lockout (UVLO) threshold, there is a 17ms turn-on delay to let the voltage settle before turning on the nFET. If there is any ringing on the line during connection, this function serves as a deglitch and prevents wasteful switching.
