Texas Instruments Battery Management UCC3957M-1 is a versatile, lithium-ion battery protection device that provides many of the features required for safe lithium-ion pack assembly. Designed for applications operating between -20°C and 70°C (TA) range, this device is housed in a 16-SSOP tube package that is capable of operating with low power dissipation. It allows for overcurrent, overvoltage, temperature, and cell-balancing protection and includes three configurable current-sense amplifiers, allowing for dual cell and four-cell battery pack applications. The device also features Hiccup-mode load disconnect minimizes power loss, enabling longer battery life. It is the perfect choice for use in battery pack applications such as notebooks, medical devices, and power tools.
