The Texas Instruments LM2940T-10.0 low dropout regulator has a variety of regulation features such as short circuit and thermal overload protection. The LM2940T-10.0 is capable of delivering 1A output current with a dropout voltage of typically 0.5V. It can be used over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
