** MAX1553ETA Description **
The MAX1553ETA uses a constant current to drive white LEDs in series to provide efficient display backlighting in cellular phones, PDAs, and other hand-held devices. For the maximum efficiency and battery life, the step-up converter includes an internal 40V, low RDSON, N-channel MOSFET switch. It has a current limit of 480mA and can drive two to six white LEDs, whereas the related MAX1554 model has a current limit of 970mA and can drive up to ten white LEDs.
