** UC3864N Description **
The UC3864N controller ICs employ external power MOSFETs, whereas converter ICs include an integrated power MOSFET. The former features programmable minimum and maximum frequencies. The latter generates a regulated DC voltage from an unregulated input voltage. In a word, the UC3864N is designed for high-efficiency and high-density power applications.
