The Texas Instruments TLC5971PWPR is a 16-bit constant current LED driver with advanced features. It is designed to enable high-performance, efficient, and reliable LED lighting solutions. The TLC5971PWPR features 16-bit brightness control, and excellent color mixing capabilities. It also has a wide operating voltage range of 2.7V to 5.4V and is capable of driving up to 24 LEDs for a maximum load of 28.1 Watts. The dimming characteristics can be controlled by either PWM or transmission control. The onboard temperature monitoring feature allows for efficient thermal management and helps ensure a longer life for the LEDs. Additionally, this device is programmable with a simple SPI interface and pin-compatible across different package types. The TLC5971PWPR is manufactured using TI's industry-leading process technology, promising continuous quality and cost-effectiveness.
