The Texas Instruments CD4022BNSR is a CMOS frequency divider IC designed for clock and frequency divider applications. It features a low power consumption, low voltage operation, and a high input frequency range of up to 10 MHz. It has a divide-by-two frequency output that can be used to generate both a 1 MHz clock and 8 MHz clock. This IC can be configured to divide the input frequency by any number from 2 to 1023. It also has an output enable control input, which allows you to mute the output during some periods. The CD4022BNSR is ideal for providing clock signals for digital logic circuits and for setting a frequency divider to a specific divider value. It has industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments, and it is packaged in a small 8-lead plastic DIP package for easy PCB assembly.
