STMicroelectronics L6391DTR is a Synchronous Step-Down DC-DC Converter in PowerSO-36, developed to provide a total system solution for a wide range of applications requiring high power densities and efficiency. With an operating range of 4.5V to 38V, the L6391DTR is able to achieve up to 95% efficiency across its full load range, up to 16A. This power efficiency is achieved with a constant switching frequency of 1.5MHz and a high-efficiency, low-profile, low-power integrated inductor that can handle up to 12A. An internal Power Stage fitter allows for a fast and safe startup, and its adjustable output voltage allows for flexibility in design implementation. The L6391DTR PowerSO package is easy to mount and requires only a few external components, making it an ideal choice for applications such as automotive, industrial and medical equipment and portable electronics.
