The Texas Instruments LM3914V/NOPB is a monolithic integrated circuit designed for use in voltage monitoring applications. It senses analog voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs to indicate the relative level of the voltage. This device is ideal for current or voltage measurement, liquid level indicators, and battery status indicators. It has a wide operating supply voltage of 2V to 36V and low supply current of 300μA. The LM3914V/NOPB is available in the standard 8-pin PDIP package and is lead-free and RoHS compliant. The device has a built-in logarithmic display driver, allowing the inputs to be directly connected to the motor’s supply voltage. It also provides temperature- compensated accurate scaling over the entire input voltage range, eliminating the need for external components. The output current is switchable and can be adjusted to any of the 8 preset levels. The outputs are buffered and capable of driving LEDs directly.
