    The MAX8654ETX is a high-efficiency switching regulator designed for DC switching regulators applications. It can deliver up to 8A of load current with an output voltage range from 0.6V to 0.85x VIN. The operating voltage range is between 4.5V and 14V, making it suitable for on-board point-of-load and postregulation applications. The total output error is less than ±1% over load, line, and temperature variations. The regulator operates in fixed-frequency PWM mode with a switching frequency range of 250kHz to 1.2MHz, which can be set using an external resistor or SYNC input. This high-frequency operation allows for an all-ceramic-capacitor solution, reducing the size of external components. The MAX8654ETX also features a SYNCOUT output that synchronizes a second regulator switching 180° out-of-phase with the first, reducing input ripple current and the required input capacitance. The on-board low RDS(ON) dual-nMOS design helps to keep the board cooler at heavy loads while simplifying the layout task compared to discrete solutions.
