The MAX693EPE+ is a part of the MAX690 family, which consists of supervisory circuits utilized in microprocessor systems to reduce the complexity and number of components required for power supply monitoring and battery control functions. These supervisory functions include µP reset and backup-battery switchover, watchdog timer, CMOS RAM write protection, and power-failure warning. Compared to separate ICs or discrete components, the MAX690 family can significantly enhance system reliability and accuracy.
