Description

The DS2483 is an I2C-to-1-Wire bridge device that interfaces directly to standard or fast I2C masters. It performs protocol conversion between the I2C master and any downstream 1-Wire slave devices. The DS2483 acts as a 1-Wire master relative to the connected 1-Wire slave devices. It features internal, user-adjustable timers that relieve the host processor from generating time-critical 1-Wire waveforms, supporting both standard and overdrive 1-Wire communication speeds. The 1-Wire bus can also be powered down under software control. The DS2483 supports dual-voltage operation and strong pullup features for 1-Wire power delivery to devices such as EEPROMs and sensors. Additionally, it has a sleep mode with minimal power consumption.
