Description

The MCR16NG is an SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) product of 16 amperes RMS rating, with a blocking voltage of up to 800 volts. Its primary use is for half-wave AC control applications such as motor controls, heating controls, power supplies, or anywhere where half-wave, silicon gate controlled devices are needed. It comes in a rugged, economical TO-220AB package with glass-passivated junctions for reliability and uniformity. The minimum and maximum values of IGT, VGT, and IH are specified for ease of design. Moreover, it offers high immunity to dv/dt, with a minimum of 100 V/μsec at 125°C.
