The UC3842B and UC3843B series are high performance fixed frequency current mode controllers. Designed specifically for off-line and DC-DC converter applications, these devices provide designers with a cost effective solution with very few external components. These ICs feature a trimmer oscillator for precise duty cycle control, temperature compensated reference, high gain error amplifier, current sensing comparator and high current totem pole output for driving power MOSFETs, and include protection features including input and reference undervoltage lockout all with hysteresis, per cycle current limit, programmable output stall time and latching for single pulse metering. The UCX842B has UVLO thresholds of 16 V (on) and 10 V (off) for off-line converters. The UCX842B has UVLO thresholds of 16 V (on) and 10 V (off) for offline converters, and the UCX843B is tailored for low voltage thresholds of 8.5 V (on) and 7.6 V (off).
