Texas Instruments' CD74HCT299E is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit addressable latch designed for use in high-performance, low-power applications. It features superior noise immunity and high-level output drive capability, making it an ideal choice for applications where noise immunity and fast-data rates are required. The latch can store up to 8 bits of data depending on the addressing scheme selected. It is capable of providing addressable storage of data across multiple buses. The data is stored until the alert signal has been received, ensuring that data is not lost due to system shutdowns or accidents. The CD74HCT299E can be cascaded with other devices, allowing for increased storage capacity. With its high-speed output capability, it is capable of operating at speeds up to 10MHz. It is powered with a single 5V supply and is designed to meet the requirements of both static and dynamic latch applications.
