The Texas Instruments TPS75425QPWP is a synchronous step-down DC-DC converter that is designed to provide efficient, reliable power management of up to 5.5A of load current. Its design features an integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, as well as a current sense amplifier that helps to ensure excellent line/load regulation and fast transient response. This device is capable of maintaining excellent load and line regulation over a wide input voltage range of 2.5V to 14V, while achieving a peak efficiency of up to 95%. It also features selectable Battery Optimized Efficiency (BOE) and Burst Mode Operation (BMO) power saving modes for higher efficiency performance when operating in light loads. The device includes an externally adjustable switching frequency (400kHz to 1.2MHz) and selectable current limit options that can be set using RC or external resistors. Additionally, the device includes a power good output, soft-start circuitry, internal compensation, and programmable soft-start ramp rate for improved system control. The TPS75425QPWP uses a space-saving 16-pin QFN package and is suitable for automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.
