The Texas Instruments TPS2419PW is a programmable unidirectional linear voltage regulator, specially designed for use in Point of Load applications. This device integrates a precision variable output voltage controller, and offers up to 2A output current capability. It also provides an enable or enable/disable signal, allowing the device to be turned on/off remotely. Additionally, it features an integrated overload protection circuit to protect against short circuits, over-current and over-voltage events. The TPS2419PW also offers selectable internal orexternal compensation, allowing fast transient response and excellent stability. This device is offered in a small MLP8 package (4.4mmx4.4mm) and operates over a wide voltage range from 2.9V to 16V. Applications such as telecom, datacom, and wide spread industrial functions, are well suited for this highly efficient power solution.
