Texas Instruments' DS75176BN is a logic-level translator device with a wide variety of applications. This device is designed to provide the convienience and speed of digital communication with different voltage levels, allowing for signals to be safely transmitted between systems operating at different voltages. This device is designed for 4.5 to 5.5 V operation, with low-voltage input thresholds of 1.2 V. It provides both active output enable and active latch enable control, allowing it to be easily used with a range of logic families, from TTL through FET to CMOS and beyond. In addition to its versatility, the device offers superior performance in terms of both speed and reliability. Its propagation delay is as low as 10.5 ns and its output enable hold time is a blazing 2.2 ns. It also features very low active and standby currents, drawing only 10 μA and 0.1 μA respectively. The device is available in an 8-pin SOIC package. With its low cost and wide range of applications, this device can become an invaluable resource to anyone using digital logic.
