The Texas Instruments ADS7830IPWR Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is a single-ended, 8 bit SAR Mux-S/H-ADC with I2C differential protocol. The chip operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and comes in a 16-TSSOP package. It incorporates an 8-bit buffered Parametric Measurement Unit (PMU) to accurately measure temperature, voltage and contact resistance. The device is ideal for cost-sensitive, battery powered applications such as portable medical, automotive, consumer and industrial devices. The device integrates highly efficient source follower amplifiers and low power SAR logic to reduce power consumption. Other features include high SNR, high throughput rate and external reference. The integrated solutions also provide performance assurance and improved reliability at a lower system cost. With it’s 16-TSSOP package, the ADS7830IPWR is a highly integrated, low power option for data conversion applications.
