** MAX1714AEEP Description **
The MAX1714AEEP pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller has the high efficiency, excellent transient response, and high DC output accuracy required for stepping down high-voltage batteries in notebook computers to generate low-voltage CPU core or chip-set/RAM supplies. This device achieves high efficiency at a low cost by removing the current-sense resistor found in traditional current-mode PWMs. The ability to drive very large synchronous rectifier MOSFETs improves efficiency even further.
