The Texas Instruments BQ24193RGET is a highly integrated, synchronous, 2A/3A/5A switch-mode battery charger with integrated power MOSFETs, inductor, and current sense resistor for a space-saving, high-density design. This device supports direct charging from USB or AC adapter sources and includes programmable features allowing the designer to optimize the charge cycle according to their battery pack requirements. It also features Auto-Level Charge Current Control, where the charger adapts to changes in AC adapter or USB port power levels, making it ideal for mobile applications. The device has protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and reverse- voltage. Additionally, the device offers low-power shutdown mode and with an integrated precision current sense resistor which offers enhanced flexibility by providing an indication of the charge current.
