Description
The MCP73832T-2ACI/OT is a 5-pin SOT-23 miniature, single cell, fully integrated Li-ion and Li-polymer charge management controller. The device is ideal for applications where space and cost are critical. It is compact and requires fewer external components. For applications such as charging from a USB port, the MCP73832 adheres to all USB power bus specifications. The MCP73832 uses a constant current/constant voltage charge algorithm with preconditioning and charge termination options. One external resistor is used to set the constant current value. During high power or high ambient conditions, it limits charge current based on die temperature. This thermal regulation improves charge cycle time while preserving device reliability.
