The Texas Instruments TPS2491DGSG4 is an integrated power control IC designed to increase the efficiency and performance of battery-powered systems. It offers an efficient, cost-effective, and robust solution for power management and backup power needs. This power IC features an integrated voltage- controlled PWM controller and two overvoltage protection (OVP) channels. It provides single-stage buck power conversion with 800 mA peak current limit, programmable OVP limits, adjustable soft-start, short-circuit protection, and robust ESD protection. It is available in 8-pin, 5 V MSOP with ESD protection up to 6 kV. This product is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including mobile phones, media players, digital cameras, MP3 players, and other handheld devices.
