The STMicroelectronics M48Z58Y-70PC1 is an 8-bit, low-voltage Serial Access Timekeeper device with NVSRAM technology. It features a real-time clock/calendar, 32 Kbytes of NVSRAM, and a manual reset input. The M48Z58Y-70PC1 provides 6V I/O, 128-bit ID CODE, and 3 licensing bytes (FLB1, FLB2 and FLB3) with a wide power supply voltage operation range (1.6V to 5.5V). It is packaged in a 28-pin DIP, SO package and is an ideal solution for applications such as communications, consumer electronics, and embedded systems. The M48Z58Y-70PC1 utilizes a regulatory compliant 32.768 kHz oscillator, which is designed to maintain accurate timing with minimal maintenance and low power consumption. It is also equipped with an I2C-bus interface and a power fail function, ensuring reliable data redundancy with low power consumption and simple management. The device also provides chip select, write protect, and output enable options making it ideal for creating multiple data retention and autonomous networks.
