The Texas Instruments MSP430F2121IDWR is a low power 16-bit microcontroller with 16kB Flash memory and 256-byte RAM. The microcontroller has 11 I/O pins, seven general purpose timers, and an integrated universal synchronous/asynchronous receiver/transmitter (USART) on-chip. The microcontroller includes an ultra low power mode with selectable power modes, allowing the user to reduce power requirements. The device also incorporates an 8-channel 10-bit analog to digital converter and supports multiple serial communication peripherals, including serial peripheral interface (SPI) and I2C. The MSP430F2121IDWR is ideal for applications where the highest levels of performance and low power requirements are needed. The extremely low power consumption makes it especially well suited for battery-powered applications. The device is RoHS compliant and comes in a 16-pin dual-in-line package or 20-pin dual-in-line package.
