The Texas Instruments I/O Expander PCA9557DR is a highly adaptable I/O expansion device designed for use in a range of applications. It operates with a fast 400kHz I2C, SMBus communication interface and offers a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85℃. It comes in 16-pin SOIC packages and can also be ordered in alternate packaging such as Digi-ReelR. The I/O expander supports up to 8-bit of digital I/O and features an integrated programmable power-on reset circuit, as well as hardware interrupt pins for fast response and reliable response times. The PCA9557DR is also highly versatile, supporting a variety of power inputs, from single-ended to three differential voltage sources. This makes it ideal for a variety of applications, from simple automation control to complex industrial and automotive applications.
