The LM339J is an integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Texas Instruments that functions as an independent 4-channel comparator. This device is designed for use in applications such as power supply monitoring, level detection, analog voltage comparison, timing control and analog signal conditioning. It utilizes a standard Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip architecture, and operates on dual-supply voltages ranging from 4.5V to 15V. The LM339J can be used to compare both single and dual polarity inputs, and provides an output in the form of an active low-level comparator output, which can be used for a variety of applications. It also offers improved noise performance over the original LM339 and improved propagation delay time. In addition to the no- latency high-speed comparator, the LM339J also provides a hysteresis function to help prevent unwanted chatter on the output.
