The TPS56720PWPR DC Switching Regulator from Texas Instruments provides highly-efficient power conversion using a low number of external components. This product features a high-current seven-amp capacity, delivering up to 600 kilohertz switching speed to maximize system conversion efficiency. The 500 kilohertz is ideal for applications that require high efficiency at low output voltages. The TPS56720PWPR allows adjustable (programmable) output voltage from 0.5 to 6.5 volts with an accuracy of ±2%, providing adjustable power to a system. Furthermore, isolated feedback loops improve noise immunity and thermal performance. This product is designed for easy integration and has a small surface-mount 20-HTSSOP footprint, minimizing required board space. The switching regulator is reflow solder compatible and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it well-suited for a variety of industrial, communications, and automotive designs.
