Texas Instruments TPS3808G18DBVR is an adjustable, high-current low-dropout voltage regulator that provides superior protection functionality. The TPS3808G18DBVR is designed to reduce board space and cost by utilizing an integrated low-side NMOS pass transistor and eliminate the need for external components. It can deliver up to 8A of output current while consuming only 600nA quiescent current in normal operation and featuring an adjustable output voltage range of 0.71V to 5.5V. The TPS3808G18DBVR features short circuit protection and adjustable current limiting with a fast foldback. It also includes other protection features including thermal shutdown, overvoltage protection, and input overvoltage protection. The TPS3808G18DBVR is available in small-footprint packages and is suitable for battery operated, AC/DC adapter, and board mounted power architectures.
