The Texas Instruments Battery Management BQ24735RGRT is a multi-chemistry integrated circuit designed to maximize battery life on a variety of battery technologies. It supports manual or autonomic charging and provides I2C bus for monitoring and controlling the charge parameters. It is capable of charging Li-Ion, LiFePO4, lead acid, and NiMH/NiCd chemistries. The charge temperature operating range is from - 40°C to 85°C, and the packaging format is 20-VQFN (3.5x3.5). It is also available in Digi-ReelR for automated production lines. The BQ24735 offers a wide range of advanced safety features, including: input overvoltage protection, charge output current limits, over- temperature shutdown capability, and accurate voltage regulation. It is designed to ease the battery management burden of the system designer.
