Z Analog Devices Inc. AD9850BRSZ is an economical direct digital synthesis (DDS) frequency generator chip with an onboard 125MHz oscillator. This chip saves time and space compared to a traditional frequency generation solution, as all of the components needed for a frequency-generating system are included on the one chip. It is a versatile solution for applications such as synthesizers, receivers, and local oscillators. The AD9850BRSZ utilizes a 10-bit, 25-MHz DAC as its output stage which produces a sine wave, square wave, and triangle wave output. It is simple to use and program with an on- board 3-wire serial port. This allows for quick, accurate control over all of the chip's functions from a simple, user-friendly interface. Additionally, the entire operating system and program is contained within the chip, so that no external memory is required. The AD9850BRSZ has a signal frequency range of up to 125 MHz for the sine, square and triangle output signals, with resolution of up to 0.5 Hz. The device also has a built-in, frequency tuning word (FTW) auto tuning function providing quick and accurate tuning. The device has an absolute accuracy of ±0.5 Hz and a typical second harmonic suppression of -45 dBc. In conclusion, Analog Devices Inc.
