The BQ24314DSGT from Texas Instruments is a lithium ion battery management IC designed to provide optimal battery cell balancing and charging performance. It incorporates Li-Ion Manager (LIM) technology, which allows the IC to automatically adjust charge parameters as needed to ensure the cells are balanced and optimized. Furthermore, the IC features eight integrated 12-Volt (12V) battery charge channels that are designed to support up to 4 cells in series and up to 4V per cell. It also features reverse-blocking switches, low- voltage loss wide-input voltage range, and overvoltage protection circuitry. In addition, the BQ24314DSGT offers programmable charge current up to 4A, charge algorithm sequencing, and programmable cell monitoring. This makes it an ideal solution for securely managing a wide range of Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries.
