Description
TMP112 digital temperature sensors are developed for high-precision, low-power NTC/PTC thermistor replacements when high accuracy is required. The TMP112A and TMP112B have 0.5°C precision and are tuned for the highest PSR performance at 3.3V and 1.8V, respectively, whereas the TMP112N has 1°C accuracy. These temperature sensors are highly linear, requiring no complex computations or lookup tables to calculate the temperature. The on-chip 12-bit ADC has a resolution of 0.0625°C.
The footprint of the 1.6-mm 1.6-mm SOT563 package is 68 percent less than that of a SOT23 package. The TMP112 family supports SMBus, two-wire, and I2C interfaces and can support up to four devices on a single bus. The device also has an SMBus alert feature. The device is designed to function with supply voltages ranging from 1.4 to 3.6 V with a maximum quiescent current of 10 A over the whole operational range.
The TMP112 family of temperature sensors is intended for use in communication, computer, consumer, environmental, industrial, and instrumentation applications. The device is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from –40°C to +125°C.
The TMP112 series manufacturing units are 100% tested against NIST-traceable sensors and confirmed using NIST-traceable equipment via ISO/IEC 17025 approved calibrations.
