The Texas Instruments DRV8803DWR is a high-efficiency and low-loss motor driver for brushless DC motor applications. It features a built-in current sensing and control circuit, allowing the user to program both the drive speed and the stall current threshold. Its advanced pulse-width modulation (PWM) control technology allows for high-speed frequency control and provides excellent torque ripple control in motor applications. The device also features protection for reverse polarity, over-current, over-temperature, and under/over-voltage conditions. In addition, the DRV8803DWR also has a broad operating power supply voltage range of 8V – 20V and can deliver output currents up to a maximum of 2A. Finally, the device is designed to operate at temperatures up to +125°C and is RoHS compliant.
