The Texas Instruments CD74HCT4024M is a high-speed CMOS bus-oriented 4-bit static shift register device. This device features dual 4-bit shift registers designed to operate from a single +5V power supply. The outputs are active low when the shift register is enabled and remain unchanged while the device is in an idle state. It features input latches which hold the inputs during power down and allow stored data to be stored when the device is enabled. This device also offers multiple clock configurations with active-low shift and strobe inputs. The HCT variant of this device has a propagation delay of 15 ns, making it ideal for high-speed applications. It can be used with both low and logic high level shift and strobe inputs, allowing the user to select the optimum operating mode for their application. The device is available in both surface mount and through hole packages.
