The 74VCX16373 is an advanced, non-inverting 16-bit transparent latch for ultra-high speed, ultra-low power operation in 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V systems. The latch is suitable for ultra-high speed, ultra-low power operation in 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V systems. Each byte has a separate output enable and latch enable input. These control pins can be linked together for full 16-bit operation. When operating at 2.5 V (or 1.8 V), the part can withstand the voltages that may be encountered on its inputs or outputs when connected to the 3.3 V bus. It ensures overvoltage tolerance of 3.6 V. The 74VCX16373 contains a 16-D latch with a 3-state 3.6 V tolerant output. When the latch enable (LEn) input is high, the data on the Dn input goes into latch. In this case, the latch is transparent (the latch output changes state each time its D input is changed). When LE is low, the latch stores the information present in the D input during the set time before LE transitions from high to low. 3-state output is controlled by the Output Enable (OEn) bar input. When the OEbar is low, the output is enabled. When the OEbar is high, the standard output is in a high impedance state, but this does not interfere with the new data entering the latch.
