The MC10LVEP16 is a world-class differential driver/receiver. This device has the same functionality as the EL16, EP16 and LVEL16 devices. Because the output conversion time is significantly faster than the EL16 and LVEL16, the LVEP16 is ideally suited for connection to high frequency and low voltage (2.5 V) supplies. Single-ended input operation is limited to VCC >= 3.0 V in PECL mode, or VEE <= 3.0 V in NECL mode. The VBB pin is available as an internally generated supply for this device only. For the single-ended input case, connect the unused differential input to VBB as the switching reference voltage. VBB also re-biases the AC-coupled input. When in use, the VBB and VCC are decoupled via a 0.01 uF capacitor and the source or draw current is limited to 0.5 mA. When not in use, the VBB should be left open. 100 series includes temperature compensation.
