The CD74HC240M96 from Texas Instruments is a 3-State Octal Buffer/Line Driver with Flow-Through architecture. It features 8 non-inverting buffer/line drivers with 3-state outputs and a Schmitt trigger input. The device provides support for up to 16 bidirectional data ports and can operate at a supply voltage of 2.3 V to 5.5 V. The device offers output enable (OE) logic to enable/disable all outputs simultaneously. It is fully specified for partial- power-down applications using IOFF. The low-power CMOS logic provides low- power expansion for most demanding applications. The device has an impedance of 25 ohms and a broad range of input/output delay times from 0 to 6ns. The device also features an extended voltage range of 0 V to 5.6 V and a high speed of up to 70 MHz. The octal buffer/line driver can be used in a wide variety of applications including bus interfaces, port buffering, and general logic buffer interfacing. The device is available in a Small Outline (SO) package and is RoHS Compliant.
