GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This data sheet describes the operation of the PCD5013 integrated paging
decoder. It is fully compatible with other FLEXchip™ ICs including the
PCD5008.
The PCD5013, also referred to as the decoder, simplifies implementation of a
FLEX™ paging device, by being able to interface with several off-the-shelf
paging receivers and host microcontrollers/processors. Its primary function is
to process information received and demodulated from a FLEX™ radio paging
channel, select messages addressed to the paging device and communicate the
message information to the host.
