STMPS2151STR Description
The STMPS2151STR is a Power Distribution Switch designed for situations involving strong capacitive loads and short-circuits. For power distribution, this device employs 90mR N-channel MOSFET high-side power switches. This switch is activated by a logic enable input. When the output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or there is a short, the device restricts the output current to a safe amount by switching to constant current mode. When continual heavy overloads and short-circuits increase the power dissipation in the switch, causing the junction temperature to rise, a thermal protection circuit shuts the switch off to prevent damage.
