The Texas Instruments TPS5410MDREP is a synchronous dual output step-down DC/DC converter designed to provide a compact, high-efficiency power conversion solution for today’s most demanding applications. Featuring an input voltage range of 4.5V to 32V and an output voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V, the TPS5410MDREP is capable of delivering up to 12A of output current. Additionally, the device features a dual-mode operation, in which the output voltage (VOUT1) can be either forced in a fixed-frequency, current mode, making it ideal for powering low-noise, high-efficiency applications. As a result, the TPS5410MDREP is the perfect solution for applications where size and power density are critical. The TPS5410MDREP utilizes an integrated PWM controller, along with N-channel MOSFETs, allowing for high efficiency over a wide range of output loads. The device also features an over-current protection (OCP) with auto retry, hiccup mode, thermal shutdown and adjustable switching frequency, allowing for more flexibility. The TPS5410MDREP is available in an 8-Pin MSOP package, making it an easy-to-integrate solution for the most compact designs.
