The Texas Instruments TPS54427DDA is a dual output synchronous buck converter that provides up to 18A of output current. It features a wide input voltage range of 5.5V to 18V, allowing it to be a great fit for applications where current demand changes depending on the input voltage. The TPS54427DDA features a high power density of 5.6 W/mm3, 100% duty cycle operation, and a fractional frequency synchronization feature for noise reduction. The device also includes gate drives for fast switching, low on-resistor for improved efficiency, and the ability to toggle between improved light load efficiency and high transient performance mode. It also includes a high accuracy voltage monitor, brownout detection, restart, and automatic system shutdown when a fault is detected. On top of that, it provides over current protection, over temperature protection, and under voltage lockout (UVLO). The TPS54427DDA is a great fit for space constrained applications requiring high power density and efficient power conversion.
