The Texas Instruments MSP430F148IPMR is a low-power 16-bit mixed-signal microcontroller built on a 40-pin RISC architecture. It offers numerous analog and digital peripherals, as well as a wide range of memory options. With its low-power operation and low pin count (limited to 28) the MSP430F148IPMR is ideal for a wide range of applications. The MSP430F148IPMR offers several features to meet various application needs. These include a 16-bit RISC central processor unit (CPU) with 10-bit Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for high-performance calculations, low-power analog and digital peripherals, as well as up to 256 KBytes of Flash memory for program storage and debugger support. The rich analog features include 12-bit analog-to-digital conversion, 8-bit digital-to-analog conversion, dual high-speed comparators, and onboard temperature sensing. The MSP430F148IPMR also offers low-power operation, with active mode power consumption of just 180 μA/MHz and sleep mode currents as low as 1.2 μA. This helps ensure longer battery life and increased control over power utilization. The device also offers low-voltage operation, with 1.7V to 3.6V standards, as well as up to 1 second of wake-up time in standby mode. Overall, the Texas Instruments MSP430F148IPMR is a low-power, low-pin, mixed-signal microcontroller that provides users with exceptional performance across a wide range of applications, at a fraction of the cost.
