The Texas Instruments CD74ACT238E is a logic device designed to provide 8-bit multiplexer/demultiplexer logic. It provides a 3-state output for bus interface applications and is ideal for high speed bipolar memory interface. Its inputs are TTL compatible and the outputs are designed for switching of loads up to 240 mA. This device operates from 4.75 V to 5.25 V over the full commercial and industrial temperature range. The ACT238E is characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C. It features enable inputs and output control from a single enable input, making it ideal for high-density applications. It also has VCC (power supply voltage) sensitivity improved by Schmitt-trigger action at all inputs, allowing better noise immunity for improved system performance. The ACT238E also boasts low power consumption, maximum toggle rates of 800 MHz and propagation delays of only 4.6 ns.
