The Texas Instruments Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) ADS8517IBDW is an advanced single-ended, sample and hold (S/H-ADC) ADC with a 16-bit resolution, enclosed in a 28-pin surface mount small-outline integrated circuit (SOIC) package. It features a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, a serial peripheral interface (SPI) and a parallel interface which makes it ideal for data acquisition and control applications. The ADS8517IBDW offers 3 speed selection modes to ensure high dynamic accuracy every time: a slower mode that delivers 70 MSPS and a faster mode that can reach 100 MSPS. It also features a noise-free parallel interface, programmable logic array and synchronous data acquisition, all of which contribute to its superior performance. In addition, the ADS8517IBDW is a low-power device, with a typical power dissipation of only 40 mW, allowing you to save energy when the converter is in use. Moreover, the integrated self-calibration compatibility with the ADS8517 converter ensures superior high noise immunity for dynamic inputs and longer battery life for mobile applications.
