Description

The STM8S105xx access line 8-bit microcontrollers have Flash program memory ranging from 16 to 32 Kbytes, as well as an integrated true data EEPROM. In the STM8S microcontroller family reference manual, they are referred to as medium-density devices (RM0016). All devices in the STM8S105xx access line offer the following advantages: lower system costs, higher performance and robustness, shorter development cycles, and longer product life. The system costs less because of an integrated true data EEPROM with up to 300 kwrite/erase cycles and a high system integration level within external clock oscillators, a watchdog, and a brown-out reset. A 16 MHz CPU clock frequency and enhanced characteristics such as robust I/O, independent watchdogs (with a separate clock source), and a clock security system ensure device performance.
