The TPS61058DRCRG4 device is a synchronous boost dc-dc converter with an integrated down conversion mode that operates at a fixed frequency. This device is designed to drive high-power single-cell white LEDs at up to 800 mA from a 2.7-V to 5.5-V input. A set of external resistors can be used to program the LED current to different levels. To achieve maximum efficiency, the boost converter is based on a 650 kHz fixed frequency, pulse-width- modulation (PWM) controller with a synchronous rectifier.
