Description

The TPS65217x is a single-chip power management IC (PMIC) for the AM335x ARM® Cortex-A8 processor in portable and 5-V linepowered applications. A linear battery charger for single-cell Li-ion and Lipolymer batteries, a dual-input power path, three stepdown converters, four low-dropout (LDO) regulators, and a high-efficiency boost converter are all included in the PMIC device, which can power two strings of up to 10 LEDs each. The system can be powered by a USB port, a 5-volt AC adaptor, or a Li-Ion battery.
