The Texas Instruments TPS54528DDAR is a high performance and efficient single- phase, step-down DC/DC switching regulator. It is designed to deliver up to 5 A of output current and an adjustable output voltage ranging from 0.76 V to 5.5 V. Ideal for applications that require continuous-mode operation such as LCD backlight, fiber optic transceiver drivers, and industrial and instrumentation applications, this switching regulator features 650kHz switching frequency and 98% efficiency. Ideal for space constrained designs, the TPS54528DDAR operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 105°C and is provided in an 8-SO Power Pad package for easy surface-mounting and hassle- free routing. It also features overvoltage protection and current-limit protection for increased safety and reliability. Additionally, the device supports 1. 5 to 5.5 V operation and can be used with 5V logic control.
