The Texas Instruments LM2575S-5.0 is a high-efficiency DC DC switching regulator designed to convert a higher input voltage to a lower output voltage. This versatile 1A, 52kHz Step-Down Regulator operates on input voltages of up to 40V and provides a fixed output voltage of 5V in a DDPAK/TO-263-5 package. It features an adjustable switching frequency to optimize efficiency and minimize external component count. The LM2575S-5.0 also has both an enable pin and an external synchronization feature, enabling the use of multiple devices in parallel for increased current. Inherent current limiting, reverse-battery protection and thermal-shutdown circuitry ensure the safety of the circuit. This efficient switching regulator is ideal for a wide range of applications, from battery-powered devices to industrial equipment.
